Gentle Flow

NON-HEATED

The Class

Our Gentle Flow is a non-heated, slow moving, highly informative yoga class. Without the heat, and with slower transitions than our other ‘Flow’ classes, these Gentle Flows focus on proper alignment in your postures, and learn how to modify postures for your body’s appropriate needs. Whether you’re new to your mat, or you’ve had a consistent practice for years, this is a great class for anyone looking for a little more guidance in their postures.

OWNER, TEACHER, AND PRACTITIONER

Pauline

Pauline has lived in Lethbridge for over 10 years. Originally from Calgary, she moved to Lethbridge to complete her BFA at the U of L. Her plan was to leave shortly after completing her degree, but opportunities continued to arise that allowed her to remain in the city. She grew up in Bragg Creek, and spent her time outdoors, camping, skiing, and hiking. She fell in love with yoga 9 years ago – the 26&2 class kicked her butt, and she loved every minute of it. Off to training the following year, and more trainings in the subsequent years. She is trained in Bikram (26&2), Power Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Buti, Ashtanga/Rocket, and Nidra.

Although Pauline can’t get most of her family members to practice yoga when they visit the city, her amazing husband, Cam, can be seen around the studio all the time. Pauline is thrilled to be part-owner of Harvest Yoga Studio with Jess, and is looking forward to future adventures together as business partners and lovers of yoga.

TEACHER AND PRACTITIONER

Shonna

Her yoga mat is a place that reminds her of the Choose Your Own Adventure books from when she was a kid. Sometimes it reveals much, sometimes it offers straight up play and joy, sometimes it humbles her. She has been blessed with teachers who illuminated how to strive living open to grace and gratitude, filled with awe and wonder, on and off the mat.
TEACHER, RECEPTIONIST, AND PRACTITIONER

Patty

I was raised on a farm in Wrentham, AB. I attended university in Utah at BYU. While I was earning my bachelors degree I gained a passion for outdoor recreation. Rock climbing , mountain biking, backpacking and water sports are the things I choose to do whenever I get the chance. I have 5 awesome kids and an amazing husband. We love to go on adventures together! I started practicing yoga in April 2018. Admittedly I initially came to the studio under duress. The friends I workout with wanted to add yoga to our workout and running routine. I agreed to give yoga try after a frustrating string of fitness related injuries. I survived my first class which was 26 & 2. I was pleasantly surprised with how good I felt … after it was over. I have been coming regularly ever since. I may have started practicing yoga for the physical benefits but I was amazed at the effect it had on my mental well being. Taking time away from the stresses of my day and allowing myself some guilt free “me” time has been just the thing I needed to gain and maintain a positive outlook on life.

TEACHER, RECEPTIONIST, AND PRACTITIONER

Jen

Born and raised in Lethbridge, Jen first landed on her mat almost 25 years ago and has been practicing here with the Harvest community since 2014. Sometimes more athletic and at other times a more meditative practice, yoga has been a steadying and grounding influence in her life. Her love for the practice continues to grow every year.
TEACHER AND PRACTITIONER

Dianne

Born and raised in Calgary, AB, Dianne is the youngest of 6 kids. As a little girl, she was always intrigued about what was below the surface of things and how they worked. Dianne was always a caregiver, a gift-giver, and a wandering inquisitive soul. She has always been fascinated with the body and how it functions, so naturally in her 16th year as a Massage Therapist, she STILL loves her job. Every chance she gets, Dianne continues with schooling, upgrading, or learning a new skill or craft to add to her working “tool belt’. She first tried yoga 20 years ago, but it wasn’t her time to fully immerse into it. She dabbled in various classes over the years, but in 2017 she felt the call to return to yoga. When she took her first 26 & 2 hot class, she was hooked! Not only did she soon realize the physical benefits but the emotional/mental benefits, as well.

During the pandemic, never one to shy away from a challenge, she enrolled and completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training, Yin Yoga training, and an AFLCA exercise theory & group exercise, cycle certification. She is currently in training for her Yoga Nidra certification. To Dianne, her experience is to be passionate about what you do and to remember to listen to your inner wisdom, as it will always lead you to amazing places.

She is passionate about writing, and loves the great outdoors – camping, all-things paddling, biking, hiking with her family and 2 pups – as well as making home-made things (renos included).

TEACHER AND PRACTITIONER

Kendall

Kendall is a massage therapy student, substitute teacher, kinesiology grad and movement enthusiast. She was born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb in Toronto. She is fascinated with the human body and craves “in the flow” experiences.  While playing soccer at university, she was looking for a way to loosen up tight hips and ankles, as well as prevent future injuries – that lead her to a hot room at Moksha Yoga London in 2007. It was love at first sweat!

She has trained with the Moksha/Modo International faculty and Ryan Leier and the One Yoga faculty, as well as smaller trainings with Eoin Finn of Blissology, Alan Mileham, Mark Stephens, and YogaFit  International. Her studies include hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, vinyasa krama, Iyengar, yin, myofascial yoga, prenatal, aerial, mindfulness and kid’s yoga.
